First Aid

First Aid:SKIN/EYES: FLOOD/SOAK W/TEPID WATER (105-115F). DON'T USE HOT
WATER. BURNS WHICH RESULT IN BLISTERING/DEEPER TISSUE FREEZING
SHOULD BE SEEN PROMPTLY BY A PHYSICIAN. OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION IN
ALL CAS ES.

Fire Fighting

Fire Fighting Procedures:TO FIGHT FIRES, SHUT OFF SOURCES OF OXYGEN &
FIGHT LIKE CONVENTIONAL FIRE. OXYGEN IS NONFLAMMABLE, BUT SUPPORTS
& VIGOROUSLY ACCELERATES FLAMMABLE COMBUSTION.
Unusual Fire/Explosion Hazard:OXYGEN IS NONFLAMMABLE. SOME MATERIALS
WHICH ARE NONCOMBUSTIBLE IN AIR WILL BURN IN THE PRESENCE OF
OXYGEN.

Accidental Release

Spill Release Procedures:PREVENT LIQUID OXYGEN FROM CONTACTING GREASE,
OIL, ASPHALT/COMBUSTIBLES. VENTILATE AREA TO EVAPORATE & DISPERSE
OXYGEN. FLUSH W/LARGE AMOUNTS OF WATER. DON'T ENTER AREAS OF HIGH
OXYGEN, MAY SATURATE C LOTHING. AVOID SMOKING/SOURCES OF IGNITION.

Handling and Storage Precautions:STORE LIQUID CONTAINERS & CYLINDERS IN
WELL VENTILATED AREAS. DON'T STORE CYLINDERS OF OXYGEN W/IN 20FT OF
FLAMMABLE/COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS.
Other Precautions:KEEP CYLINDERS AWAY FROM SOURCE OF HEAT. NEVER
LUBRICATE VALVES/CYLINDER CAPS. SEGREGRATE FULL & EMPTY CYLINDERS.
STORAGE AREAS SHOULD BE FREE OF COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL. AVOID
DRAGGING, ROLLING/SLIDING CYLINDERS. USE A SUITABLE HAND TRUCK.
